Tupungato Volcano Ascent (6570m)
Available: From 15th January till 15th March
Duration: 17 days
Not far from the overcrowded camps of Aconcagua, the Tupungato Park offers more than an enchanting trip through the untouched Andes. The Park protects the most beautiful 6000mts peaks surrounding Aconcagua (Tupungato, Polleras, Plomo and Juncal).
Tupungato is a 6570 m vulcano, and its imposing cone dominates the region. From the summit we can admire the most hidden and virgin valleys in the Andes. In this mountain are still the rests of the Stardust, a British aircraft that crashed in 1947, and was a mystery for 50 years.
