Discovering Uco Valley
The rural circuit Caminos de Altamira opens a gate to the life of Valle de Uco. This program take us in a visit to farms and country houses in San Carlos, an agricultural district South of Mendoza. Here the guests are received as old friends rather than as tourists, and the country activities are an excuse to get to met the people. We taste home made wine and mate (a popular Argentinian infusion), harvest peaches and play with an armadillo-pet.
In the afternoon we offer two options:
Rafting among great views in the Tunuyán river;
or a visit to Manzano Histórico, a spot in the old colonial trail to Chile across the Andes. Our national hero, Genral San Martín, used this trail, as well as British naturalist Charles Darwin.
The program begins at 9 in the morning and ends at 6 in the afternoon.
